Virtual Cruise Ship

Virtual Cruise Ship is an interactive simulation of a cruise ship management system, with complete reservations, client maintenance, cabin assignment, shore excursion, housekeeping, passenger accounts, and vendor maintenance functions. Using progressive exercises and realistic case studies, students acquire practical automation skills, problem-solving ability, and insight into cruise ship technology.

The software enables students to book reservations, register clients, sell shore excursions, display housekeeping status, post charges and credits to client accounts, manage vendors, and post accounts payable.

The Bookings module is used to book, retrieve, update, confirm, or cancel reservations.

The Client Maintenance module is used to register guests, retrieve or update passenger records, book shore excursions, and display housekeeping status.

The Passenger Accounts module is used to post charges and credits to passenger accounts, display account balances, and process account settlements.

The Vendor Maintenance module is used to post invoices to vendor accounts, enter vendor records, post accounts payable, and display account balances.

The included working data provides sample bookings, passenger records, client accounts, and vendor accounts. The Student Guide includes detailed software documentation, entry guidelines, tutorials, and interactive exercises. The guide is provided in portable document file (PDF) format, and can be displayed or printed.
